About This Yatra

Mathura and Vrindavan are the most sacred places associated with Lord Krishna's pastimes. The Kartik month (October-November) is considered the most auspicious time to visit, when the entire Braj region is decorated and thousands of devotees gather to celebrate.

This yatra covers the most significant sites of Braj — from the magnificent ISKCON Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir in Raman Reti, to the ancient Dauji Mandir with its 7-foot deity of Lord Baladev, the sacred birthplace of Radharani at Raval, the childhood pastime sites at Gokul, and much more.

Places to Visit

ISKCON Vrindavan — Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir

Situated in the Raman Reti area of Vrindavan, this beautiful temple was established by Srila Prabhupada who wished to construct a temple of unparalleled beauty for the worship of Sri Krishna and Balaram in the same village where They played more than five thousand years ago.

Dauji Mandir

About 18 km from Mathura, the deity of Lord Baladev here is the largest in Vraja — 7 feet tall, black in colour, holding Varuni drink in His lotus hand. Lord Balaram's beauty is enhanced by ear rings touching His cheeks, tilaka from musk, and a garland of gunja.

Gokul

Lord Krishna stayed here for three years and four months before going to the Vrindavan forest. Nanda Bhawan has the deities of Krishna and Yogamaya, and some original pillars from the 84-pillared house are still preserved. This was the site of many of His childhood pastimes.

Raval — Birthplace of Srimati Radharani

Located 13 km from Mathura, Raval is where Srimati Radharani was found in a lotus flower by King Vrishabhanu. It is the only place in the world where you will find a deity of Srimati Radharani crawling. The entire village retains a very traditional and blissful atmosphere.

Govardhan, Radha Kund & Braj Temples

The yatra covers Govardhan Hill (lifted by Krishna), Radha Kund, Shyam Kund, Barsana, Nandagaon, Shergarh, and the Vrindavan Shad-Goswami temples. Also includes visits to Jaipur and Delhi, offering a complete Braj pilgrimage experience.
